    2019 sees the 75th anniversary of the remarkable mass escape of Prisoners of War from Stalag Luft III.

    To commemorate this historic event the IBCC's "Cinema" will open for showings of the 1963 classic - The Great Escape.
    Our 1940's style usherettes will be offering traditional sweets, ice creams and popcorn to munch and a bar and hot drinks will be available in the Cinema's lobby.

    Why not make a day of it with a tour of the site and a delicious lunch in the Hub Café?

    Calling all detectives!!

    Join us for an evening of Mystery, Murder and Intrigue, whilst dining with friends and then dance the night away 40's style.

    The Mr Murderie Players will be entertaining guests with a dramatic performance - Signal Failure at Lincoln South.  Set in 1943, the action takes place in the waiting room of Lincoln South Station.

    Last year's inaugural event, which saw over 300 bikers from around the UK enjoying a visit to the centre, entertainment from the Bomber Belles, an opportunity to meet the veterans and a host of other activities, was a resounding success and so the team are delighted to be working with the Dambusters Charity Motorcycle team for a bigger and better event in 2019.

    Following the International Bomber Command Centre’s themes of Recognition, Remembrance and Reconciliation, the IBCC Orchestra & Choir bring to life the personal endeavour and sacrifice of those on both sides of a conflict to free Europe from tyranny. Using letters and films from the IBCC archives, combined with music and narrative, a picture is painted of the activities to aid the landing of troops on the beaches on D Day June 6th 1944.
