Stones in the Ribbon of Remembrance can be ordered to commemorate a relative, ancestor, friend, crew or association. The Ribbon of Remembrance provides a central and personal focal point for visitors to the Centre and has become an important and moving part of the visitor experience.
Stones have been placed for a wide range of individuals and groups, including veterans, volunteers, Lincolnshire residents and even a dog!
Our free guided tours include some of the background stories to these stones and you can read some of these stories here.
The Ribbon of Remembrance connects the Chadwick Centre to the Memorial Spire framing the Memorial Avenue. It provides the perfect place to ensure a personal memorial.
Created out of Yorkstone Scoutmoor stones, this highly durable stone is cut to 65mm and is available in a variety of sizes. The colours vary from each stone; from blue grey to buff brown so no two stones are the same.
