Our Suppliers

As part of our work towards sustainability we source locally wherever we can and target for 70% of our supplies to come from Lincolnshire.  We also encourage our suppliers to use ethical and sustainable packaging, particularly avoiding single use plastic.

Lincolnshire has a great range of quality and artisan makers and retailers and we like to do all we can to support them.

Here are some of our key artisan suppliers:

The Original Cake Company

Original cake logo

Since 1972, The Original Cake  has been proudly baking traditional cakes in the heart of Lincolnshire. For over five decades, we have remained true to the values that have always guided us: quality ingredients, time-honoured recipes, and a genuine passion for great baking.

Wherever possible, we carefully source ingredients locally, supporting trusted suppliers and ensuring every cake is made with the finest produce available. Combining these quality ingredients with traditional baking methods passed down through generations, we create cakes that are full of flavour, character, and homemade goodness.

We are a dedicated team of skilled bakers who take great pride in our craft. From classic Victoria sponges and rich fruit cakes to hearty flapjacks and beloved family favourites, every bake is made with the same care and attention that has been at the heart of our bakery since the very beginning.

As a proud Lincolnshire business, we believe that good service should be as dependable as good baking. That is why we deliver our cakes locally using our own fleet of vans and experienced drivers. By keeping deliveries in our own hands, we can ensure that every order arrives fresh, carefully handled, and ready to be enjoyed.

At The Original Cake Café, tradition is more than our history—it is the foundation of everything we do. From our bakery to your table, we are committed to bringing you the quality, flavour, and craftsmanship that have defined our cakes for more than 50 years.

Stokes of Lincoln

colour logo for Stokes Coffee

The Stokes family have been roasting coffee in Lincoln since 1902, so we’ve had a little time to get it right. Our current MD Nick Peel, fourth-generation Stokes, swapped a career in dance for the roastery.

We roast speciality coffee in Lincoln and supply to cafés, restaurants, and businesses across the UK, as well as serving it in our own cafés. Everything we do is built around consistency, quality and making coffee approachable.

We care about doing things responsibly. As a B Corp-certified business, we commit to high standards for people, planet, and the community.

This means we focus on sourcing coffee ethically, reducing waste wherever possible, repurposing and reusing in our cafés and supporting our local community. Just a few of our initiatives include our eco-friendly roaster designed to cut down on energy and reduce CO2 emissions, our reusable coffee bucket scheme for wholesale customers (saving thousands of single-use plastic bags), and Nick’s weekly Dance Fit class which raises money for our annual charity of the year.

Sustainability isn’t an afterthought — it’s part of everything we do, from roasting to serving.
