Children Get Creative

To commemorate the RAF’s centenary a primary school that have been regular visitors to the Centre, Heighington Millfield, launched a competition amongst its pupils to design a paper plate that celebrated the RAF’s important milestone.

The entries were of excellent quality and showed a great pride in the county’s link with the RAF and many used imaginative techniques.  All the entries are now being exhibited in the IBCC café.  They will remain in place until the end of August.

At the heart of the IBCC project is education and engagement with students of all ages is hugely important.  Throughout the year we run a whole range of activities and sessions for children.  this includes formal and informal learning programmes and engagement with the children in their own schools.  As reported earlier in the newsletter this range of activity has been recognised with an award from the Sandford Awards programme.

The winners of each age group received a family day pass to visit the Centre.
