Olga Polizzi is the Director of Design at Rocco Forte Hotels and Deputy Chairman of the company.
Renowned interior designer, hotelier and director of design for Rocco Forte Hotels, Olga Polizzi is admired for creating elegant interiors that perfectly suit their location.
After graduating from Art School in Rome, Olga returned to London and gained experience in the design department of her father’s company, Forte Hotels.
In 1996 her brother, Sir Rocco, enlisted her design expertise in building up their new company, Rocco Forte Hotels. Separately, Olga went onto create her own, much loved, collection of three hotels – Tresanton, Endseigh and most recently The Star.
Olga is currently on the Board of the Landau Forte Academies; Board of Fellowship & Honorary Degrees at King’s College London; Trustee of The Italian Medical Charity; Trustee of St. Mary’s School Ascot; Trustee Lord Forte Foundation, and is President of The British Italian Society.
Olga is also a director of Miller’s Bespoke Bakery, which she and her daughter Alex Polizzi helped to establish in 1997. Olga was a Westminster Councillor from 1989 to 1994 and is married to the author William Shawcross. She has two daughters, as well as a step-son and stepdaughter.
