International Bomber Command Day 2025 Service
On Thursday the 24th July, the International Bomber Command Centre, Lincoln, will be hosting the fifth International Bomber Command Day.
This day pays a fitting tribute to the extraordinary achievements of so many young men and women over the 32 years it was in operation, around the world.
This year we will also be marking the 10th anniversary of the official unveiling of the Memorial Spire, a day which saw 312 Bomber Command veterans and an audience of 2,000 dignitaries and families gather together to mark the completion of phase 1 of the IBCC project. The day was hosted by TV presenter and reporter, Dan Snow, and saw a flypast of both heritage and modern military aircraft including the Avro Vulcan’s penultimate flight. You can see a film made by the Lincolnite of the event here
We invite family, friends and supporters to join us at our Service of Remembrance which starts at 14.00 (please arrive at 13.30 to ensure the prompt start of the service). If you would like to lay a wreath for a loved one, association or group please email our events team here
