Reason for Loss | Aircraft took off from Swinderby for a day time training flight. At 1005 hrs the Lancaster broke up in flight , the starboard wing being the first to fail, and crashed at Oldfiel's Farm Sturton by Stow 8 miles North West of Lincoln. There were no survivors |
