Presented in the style of the Royal Institution Christmas Lectures, Dave Gilbert continues his ever-popular lecture series with more hands-on, easy to digest explanations of the technology used during World War II, with audience participation and lots of demonstrations. This year Dave discusses Radar, what Gyroscopes did for us in the war and a section intriguingly entitled ‘The Genius of Hedy Lamarr’. These lectures invariably sell out, so book early.
Dave is a graduate electronic engineer and owns two local electronic companies as well as being IBCC’s Losses Archivist. This lecture is a fusion of his two passions in life- engineering and the history of Bomber Command.
