Catering Assistant

The multi award-winning International Bomber Command Centre is looking for exceptional and enthusiastic people to join its growing hospitality and catering operation. The Centre plays hosts to a wide range of events, functions and runs the successful Hub Café for visitors.

This role will work across our catering operation and will provide variety, great opportunity to develop your experience and skills and be part of a fantastic team.

The centre opens 6 days per week (closed on Mondays, with the exception of Bank Holidays) and is also open for occasional evening events. In addition, the project runs a varied events programme throughout the year attracting a variety of audiences.


To ensure that the Hub Café is operated in a manner that meets the overall catering strategy of IBCC in terms of an efficient, profitable and high-quality customer focused service to visitors and users of the facilities. We are looking to recruit reliable and flexible staff who can work in a busy café environment, whilst offering excellent customer service at all times.

Previous experience in café & hospitality would be an advantage but full training will be given.

Access to reliable transport will be required to support shifts outside of normal working hours.


Will vary each week depending on planned activities. Flexibility and reliability are crucial to this role.

General hours will be between 8am and 6pm to support the main café operation and will include every weekend.

Café assistants also support on large events and will required to occasionally work late hours.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Salary: £6.56-£8.91 per hour depending on age and experience
