Join us as we party like it’s 1945 at our VE Day 75 party.
Held in the gardens, in our fabulous marquee, there’ll be a feast to enjoy whilst dancing the night away to the sounds of the British Home Front Radio Service, which will be running from the party with a great selection of toe-tapping 40’s music and soundbites from original radio programmes of the era.
Competitions for the best dressed 40’s style and/or red, white and blue outfits for both ladies and gents will be running on the night, with bottles of bubbly for the winners, although dressing up is entirely optional!

Over a million people hit the streets in May 1945 to celebrate the signing of the military surrender by the Nazi forces in Berlin, on the 8th May. In London, crowds massed in Trafalgar Square and up the Mall to Buckingham Palace, where King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, accompanied by Prime Minister Winston Churchill, appeared on the balcony of the palace before the cheering crowds. Princess Elizabeth (the future Queen Elizabeth II) and her sister Princess Margaret were allowed to wander incognito among the crowds and take part in the celebrations.
